Dr. Stephen (Steve) Pappalardo, Ph.D. graduated from the University of Colorado – Boulder with an undergraduate degree in Psychology. After completing his degree, he spent several years working at a private inpatient psychiatric facility, initially as a Mental Health Worker and then as a Research Assistant, working on numerous studies involving child and adolescent psychiatric inpatients.

Dr. Pappalardo completed six years of graduate training as a lifespan clinical psychologist, earning his doctorate at Fairleigh Dickinson University's Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program after completing an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited pre-doctoral internship in Clinical Psychology at Hartford Hospital/The Institute of Living. He then completed a two-year post-doctoral fellowship at a private practice in New Jersey specializing in Clinical Neuropsychology with an emphasis on medical forensic practice. He is licensed in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut where he currently works in private practice conducting neuropsychological and psychodiagnostic assessments with children, adolescents, and adults.

Dr. Pappalardo has presented several papers and posters at the American Psychiatric Association, Psychiatric Services, and Society for Personality Assessment annual conferences and co-authored several peer-reviewed journal articles. His current research interests include examining the predictive validity of personality and diagnostic measures and the construct validity of psychiatric disorders.

Dr. Pappalardo maintains memberships in several local and international organizations, including the American Psychological Association, International Neuropsychology Society, American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology, New Jersey Psychological Association, and Society for Personality Assessment.
